Support Charity and Help Save Earth

We provide an ethical and transparent solution for superfluous gold jewelry that:

  • Creates new support for non-profit organizations through donated gold property.

  • Provides donors with a tax-advantaged way to convert their unneeded gold jewelry into funding for their favorite charities.

  • Ethically repurposes gold to reduce the demand for illegally mined gold and its related child labor and displacement of indigenous populations.

We do not purchase gold and have no affiliation with commercial gold buyers, refineries, or merchants.

Transparency and Accountability

Give your old gold jewelry a new mission by donating it to support your favorite charity today. We adhere to the highest ethical standards and ensure public accountability. As experienced non-profit professionals, we strive to secure our partner organizations' best possible monetary outcome. Our services are free of charge for non-profits, and we donate 80% of the proceeds from the sale of gold property to the donor's chosen charity for general use. We publicly announce all donations to our non-profit partners while respecting the donor's request for anonymity. We also provide donors with tax-deductible gift acknowledgments.

Founding President & CEO

“This year, there has been a significant uptick in illegal gold mining activity and associated brutal violence against indigenous communities, particularly in the Amazon. Forest Trends is very pleased to partner with Ethical Gold Institute in its mission to discourage gold mining in the Amazon and relieve pressure on the local and indigenous communities on the front lines of those conflicts. Now, our supporters have a unique option to contribute to our work by donating gold property and jewelry. We encourage our Forest Trends Family to take advantage of this amazing new giving opportunity that will generate critically needed funding to protect forests, natural ecosystems, and their stewards. We hope you will consider a gold donation today.”
